Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Open Sauda (the "Platform"), operated by Open Sauda Technologies Pvt. Ltd., you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of India to use Open Sauda
• By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements
• Organizations may use the Platform through an authorized representative
• We reserve the right to verify your identity and eligibility at any time

3. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration
• You may not use another person's account without explicit written permission
• You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

4. Listing Guidelines

All listings on Open Sauda must comply with these guidelines:

• Accuracy: Listings must accurately represent the livestock or equipment being sold
• Photos: All photos must be original, recent, and of the actual item being listed
• Pricing: Prices must be fair, accurate, and stated in Indian Rupees (INR)
• Categories: Listings must be placed in the correct category
• Health records: Sellers should provide health certificates and vaccination records where applicable

Prohibited items include:

• Endangered or protected species under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972
• Stolen, diseased, or misrepresented livestock
• Illegal goods or controlled substances
• Items not related to agriculture, livestock, or farm equipment

5. Listing Moderation

All listings undergo admin review before publication. We reserve the right to:

• Reject listings that violate our guidelines
• Edit listing content for clarity or compliance
• Remove published listings that receive valid reports
• Feature or promote listings at our discretion

6. Transactions

• Open Sauda is a marketplace platform connecting buyers and sellers
• We do not guarantee any transaction between users
• We are not a party to any transaction between users
• Users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence
• All transactions are between the buyer and seller directly
• We recommend in-person inspection before finalizing any purchase
• Payment terms are agreed upon directly between buyer and seller

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings or content
• Harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse other users in any way
• Manipulate ratings, reviews, or feedback
• Use the Platform for any illegal purpose or activity
• Attempt to circumvent our safety or moderation measures
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to access the Platform
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Spam users with unsolicited messages or advertisements

8. Intellectual Property

• Open Sauda and its logos, designs, and content are owned by Open Sauda Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
• Users retain ownership of content they post (photos, descriptions)
• By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it on the Platform
• You may not use our branding, name, or logos without written permission

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• Open Sauda is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
• We are not liable for losses arising from transactions between users
• Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you (if any) in the past 12 months
• We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of livestock or equipment listed

10. Dispute Resolution

• Disputes between users should first be attempted to be resolved through our chat system
• Users may report disputes to our support team for mediation
• Unresolved disputes shall be governed by Indian law and subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Chandigarh

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if:

• You violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines
• Your account is flagged for suspicious or fraudulent activity
• We are required to do so by law
• We discontinue the Platform (with reasonable notice)

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification at least 30 days before they take effect.
